NBA Regular Season - Charlotte Hornets vs. Chicago Bulls (Saturday 11.05am AEDT)
Chicago Bulls are having a shocking season, no doubt about it, and the writing was on the wall as soon as they traded Jimmy Butler and let Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo walk. While they have recorded only three wins to date, however, this match up against the Hornets presents itself as one of their best opportunities.
Not only did the Bulls beat Charlotte when the met a month ago, but they have actually shown patches of solid play recently -- including in their most recent loss when led for 47 minutes before going down to Indiana in heartbreaking fashion. On top of that, the Hornets aren't exactly flying having lost five of their past six games.
Those punters who love a long shot may think the $5.25 on offer for the Bulls to win is worth a look, but those who like to bet more conservatively should consider the $1.90 for the Bulls at the line of +9.5; the Hornets aren't good enough to expect a double-digit win.
Tip: Chicago Bulls at the line of +9.5
NBA Regular Season - San Antonio Spurs vs. Boston Celtics (Saturday 1.35pm AEDT)
Undoubtedly the match of the week and almost a toss-of-the-coin job.
The Spurs have been slow starters without star Kawhi Leonard, but it's easy to understand why they are $1.75 favourites at home coming off one of their best wins of the season against Miami. The Spurs are extremely hard to beat in San Antonio, and they hold a five-game at home win streak against the Celtics.
Everything points towards a Spurs win, but the Celtics look a good bet. Why, you ask? Simple. They are the real deal this year.
Kyrie Irving loves to prove people wrong, and there are still plenty of rumblings as to whether Boston will be there at the end of the season. A win against the Spurs away from home will silence the doubters.
Tip: Boston Celtics to win at $2.10
