NBA fans were gifted a five-game extravaganza in Round 4, the action jam packed with on- and off-court entertainment.
Cairns and Illawarra were the only sides to play twice over the weekend, with the Taipans securing their first victory of the season.
The opening games of the round saw the bottom three sides on the ladder defeat loftier opponents, once again showcasing the evenness of the 2016/17 NBL season.
Sydney extended their unbeaten run to five with a strong performance in front of their home crowd.
Who and what stood out during Round 4?
Leaky Defence
Adelaide 36ers are an exciting run-and-gun team, but that can leave you vulnerable on the defensive end. Teams have taken full advantage of this, leaving the 36ers' defence looking non-existent at all.
The 36ers are 3-3 through six games, conceding more points than Melbourne United who have played an extra game. They have given up an average of 113 points per game in their three losses, compared with only 79.6 points per game in victories.
If they want to compete for the title, they'll need to knuckle down on the defensive end.
Come for the Kings
No Kevin Lisch, no Julian Khazzouh, and only using an eight-man rotation: Are the Kings going to lose any time soon? It seems like a silly question but they don't look like ending their streak any time soon with the weapons they possess and the firepower to still come back.
Welcoming Steve Blake for his first game, the Kings offence looked unstoppable as Brad Newley piled on 29 points and Jason Cadee finished with eight assists.
With back-to-back games against Cairns in Round 5, they will fancy their streak can hit an incredible seven.
Snakes Bite
Fourth time was a charm for the Taipans, as they were able to record the first victory of their season by taking down Melbourne United and then two days later claim their second against the Hawks.
Behind an electric performance from Michigan State import Travis Trice, the Taipans took control of the game against United early in the second quarter, and never let go. A team performance got the job done against Illawarra, and things look to have finally turned around for the Taipans.
Scoring Machines
Three separate individual performances on the weekend accounted for more than 30 percent of their team's total score. That's no easy feat, and it shows that nobody is going to stop you from lighting it up when you're on.
Newley eviscerated the Bullets with 29 points, a whopping 33.33 percent of the Sydney Kings' total score of 87.
Trice carried his team to victory with 28 points; with the Taipans scoring 83 points, Trice was responsible for 33.73 percent of their tally.
And Nathan Sobey dropped 32 points in Adelaide's losing effort against New Zealand, making up 34.4 percent of his team's score.
