Senior defensive end Chris Matthews (Olive Branch, Miss./Olive Branch) pledged to sign with Memphis, according to multiple reports.
Matthews, a 6-foot-5, 204-pound prospect, also claims a scholarship offer from Auburn. Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt showed interest.
He joins high school teammate and three-star center Chase Johnson on the Tigers' commit list. Memphis also signed two players from Olive Branch this past February.
Matthews is commitment No. 7 for the Tigers.
