Though there were only a few high-profile games in the SEC this weekend, there were several prospects who made visits to schools. Some recruits tweeted out photos while other’s posted videos of their weekend experiences. Here’s a closer look at the top sights and sounds from the second college football weekend from around the SEC.
Tennessee hosted several recruits for its tough, 31-24 double-overtime loss to Oklahoma on Saturday night. The 30th-ranked player in the ESPN 300, Mecole Hardman, visited Georgia last week, but was on hand for the Tennessee game this week.
The Bulldogs and Volunteers are at the top of his list. A fan tweeted a photo of Hardman along with other ESPN 300 prospects Nigel Warrior, Joejuan Williams and junior Tennessee commit Tee Higgins. The four prospects were in attendance before the game at the Vol Walk.

In addition to Hardman, Warrior and Hunter, a few other 2017 prospects, including ESPN Junior 300 safety LeAnthony Williams, tweeted photos of their experience in Knoxville.

ESPN Junior 300 running back Kylin Hill was in attendance for Mississippi State’s hard-fought loss to LSU on Saturday night. Hill already has offers from Memphis, Mississippi State and Ole Miss, but it’s apparent by these two tweets that the Bulldogs are certainly near the top of his list.

Vanderbilt’s stingy defense kept Georgia’s offense from finding its rhythm on Saturday afternoon. Though Georgia eventually pulled away, the Commodores showed promise to recruits who were in attendance. ESPN Junior 300 athlete Malcolm Askew was one of those prospects at the game. Askew tweeted out his thoughts on Vanderbilt’s effort.
Had a Nice Day at Vandy, they lost but loved the fight they had! #AnchorDown ⚓️⭐️

Florida narrowly escaped with a 31-24 win over East Carolina on Saturday night, and a few 2017 prospects tweeted photos of their experience at The Swamp, including Antwione Sims and Chauncy Smart.
