The World Series is over and free agency is right around the corner, which means weary Red Sox fans have something to look forward to again. Here are 10 free agents we think the Sox should look at this offseason, leading off with a familiar face:
Jon Lester and Red Sox management have kept alive the notion that Lester could return, but there is no more reason to believe that the Sox are willing to make him a market-value offer than there was in spring, when they lowballed him with an offer and were unable to gain traction on negotiations during the season. Still, the Sox have hope. If they pull it off, it will be the coup of the year. -- Gordon Edes
