News: 2 days agoRidley caught his only target for 18 yards in Thursday's preseason win over San Francisco.

Spin: Ridley started the contest but was on the field for only the Titans' first drive, logging seven total offensive snaps. The veteran wideout appears healthy after playing in only seven games last season due to injuries, the last of which was a broken fibula he suffered in Week 11 that forced him to IR for the remainder of the campaign. Ridley looks to be set as Tennessee's No. 3 wide receiver this season behind first-round rookie Carnell Tate (undisclosed) and free-agent signing Wan'Dale Robinson, and the health of the Titans' passing game will largely depend on the growth (or lack thereof) of sophomore QB Cam Ward.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Ridley's second season in Tennessee did not go as planned, as the veteran receiver missed 10 full games and was limited to a career-low 17 receptions. He remained a featured target when healthy (seven-plus targets in his four full games), but that led to only one double-digit fantasy performance. The lost season comes after Ridley delivered consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, finishing both as a top-30 fantasy receiver. Ridley is now 31 years old and has added target competition with Carnell Tate and Wan'Dale Robinson in the mix. A Year 2 leap from Cam Ward could get Ridley back into the flex discussion, but it's more likely that he's headed for a reduced role. Ridley is worth no more than a middle-round flier.
