News: 5 days agoWorthy totaled seven catches on as many targets for 73 yards during Sunday's 22-6 victory versus the Chargers.

Spin: Worthy served as the Chiefs' No. 1 WR in Week 6 with Rashee Rice (hamstring/knee) on the pine, and the former paced the team in all receiving categories on an afternoon in which QB Patrick Mahomes didn't record a touchdown pass. There are bound to be weeks like Sunday in which a ground game led by RB Kenneth Walker keeps Kansas City's offense humming along, but if Rice continues to miss time, Worthy figures to be among the team's leading pass catchers on a weekly basis.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: After impressing as a rookie with 101 touches and 12 touchdowns in 20 games (including the playoffs), Worthy had the look of an emerging star. Things didn't go as planned in Year 2, though, as the 2024 first-round pick was injured on his third snap of the season and wasn't productive or utilized as much as expected upon his return. Worthy was limited to one touchdown (Week 6) and reached 12 fantasy points once in 14 games (Week 4). The speedy Worthy is still only 23 years old, so a Year 3 breakout is certainly possible, especially with Rashee Rice and 36-year-old Travis Kelce as his only legit target competition. He's worth a late flier.
