News: 1 day agoRandall (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve by the Ravens on Sunday with a designation to return, Ryan Mink of the team's official website reports.

Spin: Randall played in two of the team's three preseason contests, turning 17 carries into 71 yards and a score while also catching four of six targets for 47 yards. The running back missed the second game of the preseason with an undisclosed injury, and it's possible that he aggravated the previous injury in Baltimore's preseason finale against the Commanders on Friday. Randall will now be force to sit out at least four contests to begin the year while on IR, so the earliest he'll be able to make his NFL regular-season debut will be Oct. 11 in Atlanta. In his absence, Rasheen Ali is expected to operate as the Ravens' No. 3 option in the backfield behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill to begin the 2026 campaign.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Randall was selected by the Ravens in the fifth round of April's draft. More specifically, he was handpicked by owner Steve Bisciotti. Randall is the biggest back in this rookie class and he possesses terrific speed (4.50 40-yard dash, 113 speed score), a combination that makes him an interesting developmental flier. A converted wide receiver, Randall had a grand total of four carries during his first three seasons at Clemson prior to posting a 168-814-10 rushing line in 2025. His experience as a receiver suggests he has big upside in that area, as well (he totaled an 84-787-5 receiving line with the Tigers). He has some 2026 insurance appeal, but he'll primarily learn the ropes behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill in 2026, with eyes on lead-back duties upon Henry's departure. Randall will begin the season on IR.
