News: 3 days agoBrown rushed twice for 19 yards and a touchdown while adding a four-yard punt return in Friday's 27-24 preseason win over the Cowboys.

Spin: Brown wasn't targeted in the preseason finale but still left his mark on the game with a seven-yard rushing touchdown in the first quarter. The rookie sixth-round pick out of LSU reportedly stood out in training camp, and he has built on that success with a strong preseason. Rookie first-round pick Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) is expected to miss about two months, so the door is open for Brown to take on a sizable role out of the gate behind Chris Olave in a Saints WR room that also includes Devaughn Vele and Bryce Lance.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Brown was selected by the Saints in the sixth round of April's draft. Brown is a thin, vertical receiver who handled a healthy 21% target share across 50 collegiate games at Kentucky and LSU. Brown struggled a bit with drops and efficiency, but made some noise as a rusher (32-228-2 across four seasons) and figures to make his biggest impact as a kick returner (65 kick returns for 1,910 yards and six TDs are all easily tops in this rookie class). With Chris Olave, Devaughn Vele and Jordyn Tyson (once healthy) cemented atop the depth chart, Brown is well off the fantasy radar.
