Mangiro has the athleticism and playing strength to be a dominant run blocker. Possesses the size for the offensive guard position at the major level of competition. Displays good flexibility in a three point stance with the ability to be explosive coming off the ball when single blocking; gets good fit and pad level when drive blocking; sustains well due to the blocking base he maintains along with very good leg drive. This player flashes the playing strength to knock defenders off the ball. When asked to reach on offset defenders will tend to raise his pad level however his good agility and balance allow him to maintain contact and gain leverage. We see good pull / trap skill; is quick out of his stance, able to get out in front on outside run plays. Demonstrates good balance; should be a solid 2nd level blocker showing the balance to play on his feet vs. linebackers. This guy displays the ability to handle quick inside movement and can be a devastating down blocker. Because his offense is run oriented all areas of pass protection will need to be addressed however his nimble feet and good arm length should be assets. His ability to handle inside quickness should serve him well in pass pro. After the short set is mastered his upper body playing strength should be a positive when delivering the initial punch. His athleticism leads us to believe this guy should be able to pop out an d help with outside rushers. This is a tough, aggressive player with the finishing attitude that can dominate opponents.
