Seferian-Jenkins is an interesting kid as he is a monster of a tight end. You look at him and your initial thought he that he will be an offensive tackle in time, but as you watch him play you see the ability to be able to be a plus-size tight end in college. We are not talking about just as a blocking tight end either as this kid is able to contribute in the passing game. As a receiver he can seem to a bit of a body catcher and does not come across as natural of a pass catcher as some of the other top tight ends. That being said he does not have bad hands and flashes the ability to extend his arms and catch the ball away from his body. He presents a big target and when he goes up and gets the ball he can be tough to defend. If he can more consistently attack and catch the ball with his hands he could cause some real match-up headaches based on his size. He runs well for his size, but does need to build up speed and will not run past defenders off the line. He is tough to tackle after the catch. Not very elusive, but he is physical and a load for smaller defensive backs to try and bring down. He is good in the passing game, but best as a blocker. He naturally has the size to fit as an in-line blocker and is almost like another offensive lineman. He can deliver a good pop and get hands on. He moves his feet and can create some push off the ball. He is a good blocker in space and will stay under control, get placement and stay with his block. Seferian-Jenkins is a good prospect. You still can't help but think that he is eventually headed for offensive tackle and the signs are there he would be a good one, but you can't discount his ability as a tight end and as long he can still move well and as he continues to grow he could find a home at tight end in college.
