After nearly two years of media hype and negotiations, the biggest fighters on the planet signed a huge deal to get in the ring and transcend fighting boundaries. Boxer Floyd Mayweather and mixed martial artist Conor McGregor flew around the world in the gaudiest of promotions, setting the stage for Saturday night. This would become the biggest money-making fight in history and possibly the most talked about. To hit it rich you head to Las Vegas -- there you'll find "Money." From the diamonds and stacks of cash on the strip to the bling in the Tuesday. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is all smiles as he leaves the auditorium for the final news event before the fight. Mayweather and McGregor previously held news conferences in three countries over four days in July. The Money Belt makes its appearance during the final news conference at the KA Theatre at the MGM Grand on Wednesday. McGregor poses as he gets out of his car and heads out from the official weigh-in on Friday at T-Mobile Arena. It wasn't hard to find excited fight fans in Vegas this week. This man wears a shirt that reads "The Money Fight," while he watches the open workouts of the undercard fighters Wednesday. McGregor fans flocked to Las Vegas from Ireland to see their countryman fight. McGregor supporters far outnumbered and out-cheered Mayweather fans at the official weigh-in. A snake necklace on the Las Vegas strip seems perfectly normal. Mayweather walks through the corridors of T-Mobile Arena flanked by his security team and tailed by his entourage on weigh-in day. On Las Vegas Boulevard a woman dressed as a showgirl counts her tips after posing with tourists for pictures. McGregor flexes one last time next to Mayweather after the official weigh-ins on Friday before storming off the stage and getting ready for the fight. The clubs were packed and nightlife was on-point. On the afternoon of the fight, partygoers at Encore Beach Club celebrate as cool mist jets over them while they listen to The Chainsmokers. What is a boxing match without an entrance robe? McGregor took control of the match early by jumping back and forth from southpaw to traditional style in an attempt to get Mayweather off his game. McGregor commanded the ring in the early rounds as he pushed the tempo and brought the fight to Mayweather. Mayweather rubs the back of his head after McGregor lands a few blows. Referee Robert Byrd warned McGregor several times over the course of the bout. Celebrities such as Alex Rodriguez, Jennifer Lopez, Kevin Hart and Robert Kraft were among the crowd who paid for tickets that cost upwards of $10,000 apiece. Here P. The ring fills as McGregor leans back to watch a replay of the final minute of the fight. The real party begins at the postfight news conference as McGregor sips his own brand of whiskey, "Notorious," following his loss to Mayweather. The overwhelming fan favorite doesn't disappoint his faithful as McGregor entertains the crowd during his after-party at Encore Beach Club at the Wynn.
