Once upon a time -- like four years ago -- Chad Johnson was a star wide receiver in the NFL. Today, he's slowly adjusting to life outside the league. A feat likely much easier when compounded with being the dad of a bonafide track prodigy.
Johnson's 10-year-old daughter, Cha'iel, is dominating at the National Junior Olympics this week. TMZ Sports has a video of her qualifying run in the 800-meter event. Not only did she advance to Saturday's final, but she finished in first place in her heat, with a time of 2.30.75 -- two seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
She's also competing in the 200-meter event, and if you're wondering what her chances are in that race, please check out her performance at the 2014 AAU Junior Olympics. She's the one way ahead of the pack down the stretch.
Looks like Chad might have to adjust from being one of the fastest players in the league to not even being the fastest person in his family. There are probably worse problems to have.
