As everyone knows by now, one of the major storylines leading up to the Olympic Games has been the Zika virus. Spread by mosquitos, the virus can cause fever, rash, pain and birth defects. Several athletes have withdrawn from the Games as a result.
Needless to say, the athletes still going to Rio aren't taking any chances. Just ask Hope Solo. The U.S. women's soccer goalkeeper posted a picture of her protective gear and repellent, and it's perhaps slightly extreme.
