It was a memorable transfer deadline day with some huge moves around the Premier League. Iliman Ndiaye and Enzo Fernández made big money moves to Manchester City, Chelsea meanwhile landed Lamine Camara.
But the real action was outside of the 'big six' with some exciting moves throughout the league.
After a chaotic day, here's some deals you might've missed -- but really need to know about. ESPN picks out eight of the most intriguing signings that only just made it across the line.
Malick Fofana - Lyon to Sunderland
The saga of the deadline day. This could've so easily have been Hull City, then Sunderland, then Arsenal...then Crystal Palace, before finally it was Sunderland again. The Black Cats will be delighted to get their man and some much needed reinforcement for wide areas with Fofana capable of playing on both left and right wings.
It's no surprise that Fofana was so sought-after -- he's a gifted young winger with speed, skill and the ability to unsettle full-backs. Basically, exactly the type of player most clubs are chasing around Europe right now. It's an impressive move for Sunderland and it means they can pair up him up just off Brian Brobbey in a formidable attack. Think of this one as a cheaper version of Bradley Barcola.
Christos Mouzakitis - Olympiacos to Hull City
One of the most eye-catching moves on the final day saw one of Greece's biggest young talents swap Athens for Hull.
Despite only being 19-years-old Mouzakitis had nearly 100 appearances for the Greek giants under his belt and has shown exceptional maturity in recent seasons. A deep lying playmaker or roaming No. 8, he boasts a strong passing range and the ability to burst out of the opponents press. Mouzakitis' technical attributes will give Hull a huge boost in their midfield engine room and capped off what has been a bold transfer window by the Premier League new boys.
Hugo Larsson - Eintracht Frankfurt to Fulham
Alvaro Arbeloa's start to life at Fulham hasn't been easy so how they operated in the final days of the transfer window was always going to be key. He's brought in another Real Madrid youngster in Manuel Ángel but it's the signing of Larsson that has caught the eye.
At just 22-years-old Fulham are once again betting on youth but Larsson has pedigree and his midfield versatility could be key for Arbeloa. He's a multi purpose type in midfield, capable of getting involved in all aspects of play. He can tackle and break up play but he's also a smart runner that can support the attack.
Jean-Mattéo Bahoya - Eintracht Frankfurt to Leeds United
Bahoya finally gets his big move after shining in the Bundesliga. While he's not progressed as much towards the end of last season like many expected he would, there's plenty of potential to work with there. Bahoya is a left winger that likes to dribble and cut inside providing danger around the edge of the penalty area with his skill and ability to drive at players.
The electric attacker is also the fastest player in Bundesliga history -- having clocked in a speed of 37.16 km/h in a 2025/2026.
Chema Andrés -- VfB Stuttgart to Brighton & Hove Albion
Have the Seagulls done it again? It looks like the kings of unearthing gems have struck again. Chema Andrés isn't a like-for-like replacement for Carlos Baleba but he can add a new dimension into Fabian Hürzeler's midfield.
He's a rangy, intelligent midfielder that has brilliant reading of the game and has been compared to Rodri in the past. While he lacks mobility and he won't be breaking out of the press like Baleba, he instead uses his scanning of play and composure to assert himself.
Matias Fernandez-Pardo -- Lille OSC to Newcastle United
In what had begun as a disappointing summer on Tyneside with some big name departures, there is renewed cause for optimism after some impressive work in the transfer market. Newcastle might've well saved the best until last with the arrival of the Belgian from Ligue 1.
Fernandez-Pardo will play from the left of Newcastle's attack but can also feature in a forward role. He enjoys receiving balls over the top and likes space to run into where he can showcase his speed and dribbling. The 21-year-old has the ability to create and finish so could well fit in the hole left by Anthony Gordon perfectly.
Darío Osorio -- FC Midtjylland to Crystal Palace
Palace might've missed out to Sunderland in the mad Fofana saga but they can be happy with scooping up Osorio given the last minute nature of the deal. The Chilean winger is a bundle of activity and has excellent defensive workrate to go with his play in advanced areas.
He's quick, direct and will cause full-backs plenty of headaches with his tenacious attitude. He's also not shot-shy and looks to unleash a striker even with the smallest opportunity in front of him.

Zian Flemming -- Burnley to Ipswich Town
Striker Flemming scored 11 times in the Premier League for Burnley last season, who were relegated, and he has netted three in the first four games of this campaign. The Tractor Boys are hoping the Dutchman can provide the goals that helps them avoid Burnley's fate and gives them a focal point in attack.
The 28-year-old is a no frills centre-forward and will provide penalty box presence and physicality for Gary O' Neil's side.
