Matthias Jaissle is braced for more suitors to sniff around Lewis Hall this winter but the Newcastle head coach is optimistic that the left-back will have a long-lasting future at the club.
Jaissle steadfastly replied "no chance" last month after former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel intimated the Red Devils were in the market to sign Hall in the summer transfer window.
Hall is Man United's primary target in the left-back position.
No official bids were lodged for the 21-year-old England defender, whose contract runs until the end of the 2028-29 season, but Jaissle expects speculation to ramp up again in January.
"For sure he will have interest [from other clubs] in the winter, like many other players," Jaissle said.
"Every window there will be interest for our players. We definitely count on him, he's a player of huge, huge potential.
"He's delivering at a high level already but we all know there's much more to come and we're really excited that he is a part of the team, hopefully in the long term."
The likes of Amar Dedic, Nico González and Matias Fernandez-Pardo arriving at St James' Park have done much to offset the departures of Bruno Guimarães, Sandro Tonali, Anthony Gordon and Kieran Trippier this summer.
Fernandez-Pardo, a £51million signing from Lille, could make his debut against Bournemouth in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off although Dan Burn, Joelinton and Will Osula remain sidelined.
Osula suffered a foot injury in Newcastle's 2-2 draw against Liverpool on the opening weekend of the season and has missed the Carabao Cup win over West Brom and the Premier League victory at Tottenham.
Reports in his native Denmark suggested Osula could be out until after this month's international break but Jaissle bristled at the suggestion, despite not putting a timeframe on the 23-year-old's return to action.
"I don't know if the Danish journalist has more information than I have, I doubt that, so I will not be participant of these rumours," Jaissle said.

With four points from two matches, there is a feelgood factor on Tyneside ahead of the visit of the Cherries, who are unbeaten in their last eight top-flight matches against Newcastle.
"It will be the same idea of how we want to play football," Jaissle added. "This is independent of the opponent. We have a clear way, a clear identity and I hope the atmosphere will be the same.
"I really hope the fans and all the supporters are cheering for us in the same way, like against Liverpool and in the Carabao Cup. I am pretty sure it will be like this."
