Harry Kane became the first British man for 25 years to win the Ballon d'Or, as he beat Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi to the coveted prize.
After an incredible 73 goals in 65 games for club and country last season, he joined Stanley Matthews, Denis Law, Bobby Charlton, Kevin Keegan and Michael Owen as the only Brits ever to have won the award.

Kane's 2025-26 was one of the greatest we've seen from a forward in the 21st century.
Since 2000, only Messi in 2011-12 has had a better goalscoring season, when he scored a remarkable 82 in 69 games for club and country.
Alongside his personal numbers, the 33-year-old also won the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal with Bayern Munich, and finished third with England at the World Cup.
Despite all that, Kane recently admitted he was feeling some nerves over Monday's ceremony.
"I think my wife would prefer to know and my family, it's very stressful for everyone," he said.
"From my point of view, of course, I'd love to know to just kind of see and not have to wait throughout the whole night.
"But it is their decision, I can't control that. We'll have to just enjoy it and try not to stress out too much."
Perhaps that is to do with the quality of those he was up against -- Yamal won the World Cup and LaLiga, Mbappé became the World Cup's top scorer of all time, and Messi reminded everyone that he is still... Messi.
