Scully has been with the Dodgers since 1950, when they still called Brooklyn home. Sports fans have late CBS honcho Red Barber to thank for plucking the 22-year-old from a Washington, D.C., radio station after Ernie Harwell left the Dodgers' booth. Scully started calling games with the late Connie Desmond.
