Campbell Fighting Camels @ Morgan State Bears
Kendley's double-double lifts Morgan St past Campbell 82-66
BALTIMORE -- Tiwian Kendley scored 20 points and grabbed 10 boards and Phillip Carr added 17 points and nine boards to help Morgan State beat Campbell 82-66 on Saturday.
After establishing a 37-26 halftime lead, the Bears went on a 13-7 run after the break to make the score 50-33 off Carr's three-point play. A layup from Carr later made the lead 61-43 with 8:49 left in the game.
Morgan State (2-2) took control early, establishing a 21-10 lead when Carr blocked Magga Lado's layup attempt before converting a three-point play at the other end off a layup with 11 minutes left before halftime.
Kyle Thomas later hit 3 for the Bears to give them a 26-13 lead. Kendley made a pair of free throws to push the lead to 35-20.
Chris Clemons came off the bench to lead Campbell (1-2) with 17 points and five boards and Shane Whitfield had 14 points and five rebounds.
