Pryor scores 26, Georgetown outlasts Howard 85-72
WASHINGTON -- Rodney Pryor scored 26 points with seven rebounds and Georgetown outlasted Howard 85-72 on Sunday.
Pryor was 9 of 12 from the floor, including 5 of 8 on 3-point attempts, and had three steals. LJ Peak and Akoy Agau added 14 points apiece and Tre Campbell had 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting from long distance. Peak added five steals. The Hoyas (3-4) shot 49 percent and made 13 of 28 (46 percent) 3-point attempts.
Howard (0-5) was led by James Miller, who scored 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting and grabbed five rebounds. Miller made 8 of 10 from the line. Solomon Mangham had 13 points and Damon Collins added 11.
Georgetown scored the first 16 points of the game. Miller's dunk, nearly 5 minutes into the game, were the first Bison points, but Peak responded on the next possession with a 3 and the Hoyas held Howard at arm's length the rest of the game.
