News: 9 hours agoThe Reds selected Jorge's contract from Triple-A Louisville on Friday.
Spin: Jorge earned his first-ever big-league promotion after slashing .308/.376/.427 with eight home runs and 33 stolen bases between Double-A Chattanooga and Louisville this season. Manager Terry Francona said Friday that he plans to play Jorge in center field "probably against righties," per Charlie Goldsmith of Fox 19 Now Cincinnati, so it sounds like the 22-year-old will see his fair share of playing time over the final weeks of the season as the strong side of a platoon with Dane Myers.
