The Chicago Cubs and New York Mets played seven times in the regular season, and the Cubs won every game. Here's a look back at those seven games.
May 11: Cubs 4, Mets 3
Something old, something new: 2015 Rookie of the Year favorite Kris Bryant christens the renovated Wrigley Field bleachers, which had just opened that day, with a two-run, first-inning home run off 2014 Rookie the Year Jacob deGrom. Anthony Rizzo follows with a blast of his own, and the Cubs never relinquish the lead.
May 12: Cubs 6, Mets 1
Jake Arrieta strikes out 10 Mets in eight innings -- helping to spoil Noah Syndergaard's MLB debut. Syndergaard goes 5 1/3, surrendering three earned runs, the biggest blow a two-run home run by Chris Coghlan in the sixth.
May 13: Cubs 2, Mets 1
Coghlan strikes again, drawing a walk-off walk off Mets' closer Jeurys Familia in the bottom of the ninth.
May 14: Cubs 6, Mets 5
Dexter Fowler scores the tiebreaking run on a passed ball in the seventh inning by Mets catcher Anthony Recker (who homered twice) as the Cubs complete a four-game sweep of the Mets for the first time since 1992.
June 30: Cubs 1, Mets 0
Four Cubs pitchers -- starting with Kyle Hendricks -- combine for a 1-0 shutout as the season series shifts to Citi Field.
July 1: Cubs 2, Mets 0 (11 innings)
Starlin Castro legs out an infield single as the Cubs win in 11 innings -- and the slumping, pre-Yoenis Cespedes Mets get blanked again.
July 2: Cubs 6, Mets 1
It doesn't get any easier for the Mets the next day, as Arrieta stymies them again, allowing Curtis Granderson's RBI double but no other runs in his eight innings. DeGrom takes the loss for the Amazin's.
