ESPN Fantasy Projection: Hagel missed 11 games due to injury last season, which was surprising considering he sat a grand total of one contest in the prior three years combined. He still managed to finish with a career-high 36 goals while averaging north of a point-per-game (74 points in 71 games) for a second-straight campaign. Hagel's plus-34 rating was the thirteenth-best mark in the league. The fact he has been able to produce at this level despite a middling role with the man advantage is remarkable. Hagel is typically good for roughly a dozen power-play points per season. There's no real reason to expect a significant drop in production in any category considering Hagel will play the entirety of the 2026-27 campaign at 28 years old.
