Fantasy Women's Basketball
News: 5 days agoJones (ankle) signed a three-year deal with the Liberty on Friday, Madeline Kenney of the New York Post reports.
Spin: This deal was agreed to last week, but Jones put pen to paper Friday. All three of Jones, Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart have now been signed through 2028.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Jones' production took a hit during the 2025 campaign after she missed an extended period before the All-Star break due to a right ankle injury. The 2021 WNBA MVP appeared in 31 regular-season outings, averaging 13.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.7 triples and 1.1 blocks while shooting 42.4 percent from beyond the arc in 26.8 minutes per contest. She underwent a minor procedure in October to correct instability in her right ankle and has spent the offseason recovering ahead of unrestricted free agency. While free to sign with anybody, the expectation is that the veteran center will return to New York with Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart. Jones is still capable of delivering elite fantasy value, finishing inside the top-10 players in 2024. She figures to be an early-to-mid-round target in fantasy drafts ahead of the 2026 campaign.
