News: 11 hours agoEngstler (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against Los Angeles, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.

Spin: Engstler started Portland's preseason meeting with Seattle, finishing with five points, seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocks in 17 minutes. However, she is now in jeopardy of missing the preseason finale. If she's ruled out, Engstler's next opportunity to play will be when the Fire open the regular season against Chicago on May 9.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: As a rookie in 2022, Engstler averaged a career-high 18.2 minutes per game for the Fever. However, since then, she's played limited roles for Minnesota and Washington, averaging fewer than 15 minutes per game in each of the past three years. While she averaged double-digit minutes during her two years in Washington, her production was modest, and she started only three of her 72 regular-season appearances. This offseason, she was selected in the first round of the 2026 WNBA Expansion Draft by the Fire. Engstler was Portland's fourth pick, and while the team added a few other forwards ahead of the regular season, the prioritization of Engstler in the draft suggests she'll play a major role in 2026. She has a clear path to a career-high campaign in terms of playing time and production, but her overall skill set remains limited, lowering her fantasy ceiling.
