News: 2 days agoBoston (leg) is out for Thursday's preseason game against Dallas, Chloe Peterson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Spin: Boston missed the Unrivaled playoffs due to a right lower-extremity injury, but she will be sidelined for a second straight exhibition. She's been healthy throughout training camp, so this sounds like a precaution.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Boston has been a strong contributor for the Fever since entering the WNBA in 2023, and she's coming off a successful stint in the Unrivaled league, where she earned the Defensive Player of the Year honors after averaging 18.9 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game. She wasn't able to play in the Unrivaled playoffs due to a right lower extremity injury, but she said at the start of WNBA training camp that she's healthy ahead of the 2026 campaign. Boston's production has been consistent in each of her first three years in the WNBA, though she averaged career highs in points (15.0) and assists (3.7). She's still under her rookie contract but will be a restricted free agent in 2027, so Boston will have plenty of financial incentive behind her this season, especially under the league's new collective bargaining agreement.
