Great news Sunday out of Sarasota, Fla., as Indiana wide receiver Isaac Griffith was discharged from the hospital less than a week after a swimming accident left him in critical condition.
Griffith continues to improve in his recovery and is headed head home to Indiana, according to a statement released by Sarasota Memorial Hospital. His father, Shannon, the head football coach at Division III Manchester University, posted a picture of himself and Isaac, both smiling, on his Twitter page and thanked supporters.

Isaac tweeted Sunday: "Nothin more to say except I'm blessed. Indiana I'm on my way home today."
Isaac was with two teammates, safety Ty Smith and wide receiver Nick Stoner, and a friend, Mitch McCune, last Monday when they were caught in a rip current. McCune and Smith pulled Griffith to shore and McCune performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
Griffith sustained damage to his lungs was placed in a medically induced coma for two days. His condition has steadily improved since being brought out of the coma on Wednesday.
