The Chicago Blackhawks reassigned defenseman Kyle Cumiskey to the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL on Saturday.
Cumiskey was recalled by the Blackhawks on Feb. 12. He had zero points, was a minus-1 and averaged 13:18 of ice time in seven games with the Blackhawks. He has one goal and 11 assists in 38 games with the IceHogs this season.
Cumiskey signed a one-year deal with the Blackhawks in the offseason after spending the previous two seasons in Sweden.
The Blackhawks also placed defenseman Tim Erixon on waivers on Saturday, acquired defenseman Kimmo Timonen on Friday and put defenseman Johnny Oduya on injured reserved on Friday.
