Los Angeles Lakers guard Jabari Brown is expected to miss the team's first two summer league games this week in Las Vegas because of a left eye injury, the team announced Tuesday.
Brown was poked in the eye during practice Monday and, after being examined by a doctor Tuesday, was diagnosed with a small laceration in the conjunctiva.
If Brown misses the team's games Friday and Saturday, he could return to action Monday when the Lakers face the New York Knicks during summer league action.
The 6-foot-5 Brown was an undrafted guard out of the University of Missouri and is on a non-guaranteed deal for the 2015-16 season. He averaged 11.9 points on 41.2 percent shooting in 29.9 minutes through 19 games with the Lakers last season.
