The Kansas City Royals defeated the Detroit Tigers 8-1 on Thursday behind seven scoreless innings from Danny Duffy.
Duffy took a shutout into the eighth, before giving up the lone run of the game for the Tigers. Jason Frasor and Brandon Finnegan finished the game with two scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
All nine Kansas City batters had a hit in the game. The top six in the Royals' lineup Thursday are all batting over .300 this season.
Mike Moustakas went 2-for-5, making it his fourth straight multi-hit game, one shy of a career-high. Eric Hosmer added a two-run home run, his third of the year.
The Royals lost 13-of-19 to the Tigers last season.
