After spending a season in the D-League, Keith Appling will get a shot at making an NBA roster with the Orlando Magic. Appling played for the Orlando White summer league team, averaging a team-high 15.6 points per game in five games played. From Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel:
- "The Magic will invite Appling to their training camp and give him a chance to make their regular-season roster as a backup to point guards Elfrid Payton and C.J. Watson. The Magic and Appling have agreed to a two-year contract that includes a small partial guarantee, a league source said. If Appling doesn't make the Magic's regular-season roster, he'll play for the [D-League Erie] BayHawks again."
