The Utah Jazz have a plethora of guards under contract and Elijah Millsap is likely on the bubble to make the regular-season opening 15-man roster. A report from ESPN claimed Millsap had "lost the trust of the Utah coaching staff," however Quin Snyder says that is not true.
- “It’s totally false. Elijah’s played really well,” Utah's head coach told
Jody Genessy of the Deseret News
- on Thursday. “I talked to Elijah once a week all summer. (Assistant) Brad Jones flew out to see him. ... I don’t even know what to (say). Ask Elijah how he feels about me and go from there.”
If Millsap does stick with the Jazz for a second season, he will enter 2015-16 fourth or fifth on the backcourt depth chart. Millsap is signed through 2016-17 and has no salary protection for either season.
