NEW YORK -- New York Mets representatives Michael Conforto and Brandon Nimmo both had strong performances in Sunday's Futures Game in Cincinnati.
Conforto, the starting left fielder, finished 2-for-2 and also threw out a runner at the plate in the U.S. team's 10-1 win against the World team.
Nimmo came off the bench and went 1-for-2 with an RBI while manning center field. He drove in a sixth-inning run with a single against Chicago White Sox prospect Frankie Montas.
Conforto and Nimmo are due to return to Double-A Binghamton.
