NEW YORK -- The only hit Matt Harvey allowed Sunday night cost the New York Mets a player, and it's not yet clear how long Juan Uribe will be out.
Uribe hit the ground hard while diving to stop Brett Gardner's ground ball, in the third inning of what became an 11-2 Mets loss to the New York Yankees. While Uribe remained in the game, he left two innings later with what the Mets described as a chest contusion.
X-rays were negative, but manager Terry Collins said after he game that Uribe will have an MRI exam Monday.
"He's pretty sore," Collins said.
