PHILADELPHIA -- Here are the lineups for Thursday's 12:05 p.m. ET series finale between the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.
Sean Gilmartin (3-1, 2.58 ERA) makes his first career major league start. His longest outing this season came on Aug. 24 at Philly, when he tossed 3 1/3 scoreless relief innings in a 16-7 win. Tim Stauffer likely is to follow Gilmartin.
Despite dropping the first two games of this series, the Mets are 14-4 against the Phillies this season. That matches the second-most wins ever by the Mets against one club in a single season. The franchise record is 17 wins (in 18 games) against the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1986.
The Mets complete their regular-season road schedule with the matinee. The Amazin's are 41-39 on the road.
The game originally was scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET, but was moved up to try to beat expected rain.
