BINGHAMTON 7, HARRISBURG 3: The B-Mets overcame a 2-1 deficit with a six-run seventh that included Champ Stuart's two-run triple and Dominic Smith's two-run double. B-Mets starter Ricky Knapp allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk in six innings. Box
BRADENTON 7, ST. LUCIE 4: St. Lucie took a 2-1 lead on Vinny Siena’s RBI single in the second, but the Marauders answered with the next six runs. Justin Maffei tied the score in the fourth with an RBI single. Later in the inning, Tito Polo had a two-out single. Center fielder Patrick Biondi’s throw to the plate appeared in time to retire Christian Kelly, but catcher Tomas Nido dropped the ball and Kelly scored to put Bradenton ahead 3-2. Kelly slapped a two-run single against Robby Coles in the fifth to make it 5-2. A throwing error on Siena at second base led to Polo scoring in the sixth, and a two-out RBI single by Michael Suchy in the eighth put Bradenton up 7-2. The Mets scored two runs in the ninth on a single by Biondi and a wild pitch from Luis Heredia that plated Jhoan Urena. The rally stalled when Kevin Taylor grounded back to the pitcher. Mets starter Casey Delgado allowed three runs on six hits in four innings. St. Lucie dropped to 0-8 in Bradenton this season as its South Division lead was cut to one game. Box
GREENSBORO 3, COLUMBIA 2: Fireflies starter Kevin Canelon took a scoreless effort into the sixth, when he surrendered three runs and departed with the bases loaded and none out. Craig Missigman stranded all three inherited runners. Milton Ramos then delivered a two-run double in the bottom half to pull Columbia within a run. However, Ramos was stranded when Dale Burdick and Enmanuel Zabala flied out. Box
ELIZABETHTON 6, KINGSPORT 4: Jake Simon surrendered a two-run homer to Amaurys Minier in Elizabethton's four-run third inning. Kingsport pulled within 4-3 in the sixth on Jose Miguel Medina's two-run double and Yeffry De Aza's RBI single. Simon then loaded the bases in the bottom half and Jose Carlos Medina entered and uncorked a run-scoring wild pitch. Pitching coach Royce Ring was ejected that inning. Box
BROOKLYN 14, WEST VIRGINIA 7: Jose Reyes (oblique) went 2-for-5 with a double, RBI and two runs scored and logged seven innings at third base in his second rehab game. Desmond Lindsay had seven RBIs for the Cyclones, with some of the damage coming on a three-run homer in the third. The RBI total matched the Brooklyn record established by Brandon Brosher last season. Box
