LOS ANGELES -- Wilmer Flores remains unavailable Wednesday, two days after twisting his right ankle running the bases at Dodger Stadium in the series opener.
Terry Collins said Flores wants to try to hit before tonight's game.
"He's marginally better," Collins said. "He actually wants to try to hit in the cage. We're probably going to be very careful having him run on it."
Justin Turner started at third base on Tuesday. Josh Satin is manning the position tonight.
• Eric Young Jr. is out of the starting lineup for the first time since July 26. Collins indicated that Young had been receptive to taking a game off. The manager added that it made sense to rest Young and use Andrew Brown against left-hander Chris Capuano.
