The 2005 American League Championship Series is known for the White Sox putting together four consecutive complete games from their starters, but somebody had to deliver the offense. Konerko was named ALCS MVP by stepping up in the big moment, hitting first-inning home runs in Games 3 and 4. In Game 5, he delivered some insurance in the form of a ninth-inning RBI double, and on defense, he fielded a ground ball at first base and took it to the bag for the final out of the ALCS.
