Konerko's grand slam in Game 2 of the 2005 World Series was enormous as part of the eventual four-game sweep of the Houston Astros. With the White Sox trailing 4-2 in the seventh, Konerko unloaded on Chad Qualls' first pitch. The slam, just the 18th in World Series history, is remembered with a single blue seat where the ball was believed to have landed, beyond the left-field wall near the White Sox's bullpen.
