News: 1 day agoGeneral manager Brian Gutekunst said Tuesday that he anticipates Jacobs (personal) playing for the Packers at some point in 2026, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.

Spin: Jacobs was placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List on Sunday, three days after he was formally charged with two misdemeanors stemming from his May arrest for a domestic incident. The 28-year-old running back is scheduled to make his first appearance in court Nov. 17 and won't be eligible to practice or play while he remains on the exempt list, though head coach Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that Jacobs will be present at the team facility, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. While Jacobs is out, the Packers will have MarShawn Lloyd, Chris Brooks and Kaleb Johnson as their available backfield options, with Lloyd being the favorite to lead the trio in touches.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Jacobs' 2025 season can be split in two parts: pre-injury and post-injury. While healthy during his first nine games, Jacobs picked up where he left off from a terrific 2024 debut season with Green Bay, averaging 21.1 touches and 19.6 fantasy points while scoring 11 TDs. After missing all but 11 snaps during Weeks 11 and 12, Jacobs returned and wasn't quite the same, averaging 14.6 touches and 11.3 points while totaling three touchdowns in his final five games. But Jacobs, 28, was still effective overall (PFF's fourth-highest-graded back) and has a clear grasp on lead-back duties in a good Green Bay offense that has afforded him 30 touchdowns (fifth most in the NFL) in 32 games. He's a fine back-end RB1 when active, but a likely suspension makes him less valuable on draft day.He's worth a mid-round flier until the dust settles.
