News: 1 day agoJacobs (groin), who was charged Thursday with two misdemeanors stemming from his May arrest, is scheduled for an initial court appearance Nov. 17, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Spin: Jacobs is facing misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor criminal damage to property charges, with NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy saying in a statement Thursday, "We have been closely monitoring all developments in the matter, which remains under review." Demovsky notes that Jacobs could be subject to a suspension by the NFL, which is conducting its own investigation on the matter, adding that it's up to the league to decide whether or not to wait until the legal process is completed before any determination is made. In a statement Thursday, the Packers said, "We are aware of the charges brought against Josh Jacobs. We will continue to cooperate with the NFL as we work through the process. We will have no further comment at this time."

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Jacobs' 2025 season can be split in two parts: pre-injury and post-injury. While healthy during his first nine games, Jacobs picked up where he left off from a terrific 2024 debut season with Green Bay, averaging 21.1 touches and 19.6 fantasy points while scoring 11 TDs. After missing all but 11 snaps during Weeks 11 and 12, Jacobs returned and wasn't quite the same, averaging 14.6 touches and 11.3 points while totaling three touchdowns in his final five games. But Jacobs, 28, was still effective overall (PFF's fourth-highest-graded back) and has a clear grasp on lead-back duties in a good Green Bay offense that has afforded him 30 touchdowns (fifth most in the NFL) in 32 games. He's a fine back-end RB1, but a potential suspension makes him less valuable on draft day.
