Maine Black Bears @ Delaware Blue Hens
Maine 26, Delaware 3
NEWARK, Del. -- Michael Cole had five of Maine's nine sacks to lead the Black Bears over Delaware 26-3 Saturday.
Marcus Wasilewski threw for three touchdowns as Maine (2-3, 1-1 Colonial Athletic Association) seized control in the second and third quarters.
Douglas Alston's sack of Trent Hurley pinned the Blue Hens (4-2, 1-2) at their 17, and Maine got a safety and a 9-3 lead after Delaware fumbled on its punt.
On the third play after the ensuing free kick, Wasilewski hit Damarr Aultman for their second scoring connection and a 16-3 halftime lead.
Maine sacked Hurley twice on Delaware's opening possession of the third quarter, then made it 23-3 on Wasilewski's 16-yard pass to Maurice McDonald.
Wasilewski completed 12 of 18 passes for 176 yards and David Hood gained 103 yards on 14 carries for Maine.
Hurley, despite Maine's heavy pressure, was 22-of-35 for 177 yards with no interceptions for Delaware.
