BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Mike Colvin passed for four touchdowns and ran for a fifth as Lehigh beat Columbia 35-14 Saturday in a nonconference game.
Colvin completed 29 of 38 passes for 415 yards and touchdowns to three different receivers for the Mountain Hawks (6-0). Senior Jamel Haggins caught two scoring passes, while Sergio Fernandez-Soto, a junior, had a career day with eight catches for 120 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Spadola's five catches included his first touchdown of the season.
Lehigh scored twice in the first quarter before Columbia's Zach Olinger returned an interception 14 yards for a touchdown. Then Colvin threw two more TD passes. He also rushed for 38 yards.
Columbia's Sean Brackett was just 16-of-36 passing for 163 yards. He threw two interceptions and was sacked four times.
For the Lions, Marcorus Garrett rushed for 81 yards and scored Columbia's only offensive touchdown on a 1-yard run.
