Buffalo cruises to 42-14 win over Eastern Michigan
BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Branden Oliver gained 150 yards rushing and scored twice as Buffalo cruised to a 42-14 victory over Eastern Michigan Saturday.
The Bulls (3-2, 1-0 Mid-American Conference) broke the 40-point mark in back-to-back contests for the first time since 1981 and snapped a five-game losing streak against the Eagles (1-4, 0-2 MAC).
Oliver set the tone early with a 60-yard touchdown run on Buffalo's first possession of the game before adding a 2-yard touchdown run later in the first quarter.
With the Bulls leading 21-0, Eastern Michigan got on the board with a second-quarter touchdown but Buffalo's Devin Campbell returned the ensuing kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown.
Campbell also added a 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter before backups for both schools took reps in the fourth quarter with Buffalo up 42-7.
Ryan Brumfield had a 75-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter for the Eagles.
