Ball State rushes past Eastern Michigan 45-30
MUNCIE, Ind. -- Jack Milas threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns, and ran for another score to lead Ball State past Eastern Michigan 45-30 on Saturday.
Milas capped a 10-play, 75-yard drive on Ball State's first possession with a 3-yard run and the Cardinals built a 28-3 lead at halftime. Jordan Hogue caught a 33-yarder and Jahwan Edwards had a 29-yard rushing TD, both in the second quarter.
Ball State's Ben Ingle returned a fumble recovery on the sixth play of the second half for a 35-3 lead.
Jahwan Edwards rushed 19 times for 131 yards and a score for Ball State (4-7, 3-4 Mid-American Conference).
Reginald Bell Jr. threw for 409 yards and three scores, and rushed for 101 yards on 18 carries for Eastern Michigan (2-9, 1-6). Bell found Tyreese Russell for a 10-yard TD, Kris Strange for 6 yards, and Darius Jackson for a 1-yarder. Dustin Creel led the Eagles with 14 grabs and 152 yards.
