Lafayette Leopards @ Delaware Blue Hens
Delaware beats Lafayette in the rain, 19-9
NEWARK, Del. -- Frank Raggo kicked four field goals in the rain -- two in the fourth quarter -- as Delaware defeated Lafayette 19-9 Saturday night.
The game was delayed more than an hour between halves by lightning.
Joe Walker scored the game's lone TD on a keeper from the 1. Raggo's counterpart -- Lafayette's Jacob Bissell -- scored all the Leopards points with field goals of 40, 40 and 47 yards. The last was Lafayette's longest since 2012.
The wet game saw seven fumbles, with Lafayette (0-2) losing two of three which resulted in 10 points for the Blue Hens (1-1).
Raggo made two field goals in the fourth quarter and his last, a 22-yarder from the left hash mark, was deflected at the line but still went through.
Lafayette's Blake Searfoss completed 13 of 24 passes for 171 yards. Walker passed for just 58 yards.
