Maine Black Bears @ New Hampshire Wildcats
New Hampshire stifles Maine, 22-6
DURHAM, N.H. -- Sean Goldrich threw for 286 yards with a touchdown and added a third quarter rushing touchdown to help lead New Hampshire to a 22-6 win over Maine on Saturday.
Dalton Crossan finished with 85 yards rushing, including a 43-yard touchdown run, and also caught five passes for 44 yards with a score for the Wildcats (7-4, 5-3 Colonial Athletic Association), who finished tied for second place in the CAA with Villanova.
New Hampshire forced four Maine turnovers, including interceptions by Nick Marino and Patrick Mensah.
The Wildcats, who never trailed, led 13-0 at the half and 19-0 after three quarters. The Black Bears (3-8, 3-5) finally reached the end zone on a 6-yard TD pass from Dan Collins to John Hardy, after which Sam Lenson's PAT was blocked.
Collins threw for 242 yards and a touchdown for Maine, which closed out the year with a four game losing skid.
