Ribeiro makes 4 field goals; Chattanooga beats VMI 33-27
LEXINGTON, Va. -- Henrique Ribeiro made four field goals and Chattanooga held on to beat VMI 33-27 on Saturday.
Ribeiro converted from the 37, 20, 31, and 24 without a missed field goal. Jacob Huesman threw one touchdown pass and ran for another score to lead Chattanooga (5-1, 3-0 Southern Conference). Derrick Craine added 112 yards on 19 carries.
Ribeiro's fourth field goal stretched the Mocs lead to 26-21. Sema'je Kendall scored on a 28-yard interception return to make it 33-21 early in the fourth quarter.
Al Cobb threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Chad Jacob to pull VMI to 33-27 with six minutes left. Huesman completed three passes, and ran for 25 yards on four carries on the ensuing series to help the Mocs run out the clock.
Cobb threw three touchdown passes, and ran for a score to lead the Keydets (1-6, 0-3).
