Eubank throws for 3 TDs, leads Samford to 49-13 win over VMI
LEXINGTON, Va. -- Michael Eubank completed 31 of 42 passes for 337 yards and three touchdowns to lead Samford to a 49-13 win over VMI on Saturday.
Emmanuel Obajimi grabbed seven passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns as Samford (3-2, 1-1) picked up its first Southern Conference win.
Eubank hit Obajimi on a 15-yard scoring pass in the first quarter and passed to Gavin Sinclair from the 34 in the second for another score. Michael Pierce ran it in from the two to give Samford a 21-10 lead at the half.
Omari Williams returned an interception 59 yards with 9:51 left in the fourth to give Samford a 42-13 advantage. Justin Cooper led the Samford defense with nine tackles and one interception. The Bulldogs picked off VMI's Al Cobb four times.
Dane Forlines grabbed seven passes for 106 yards for VMI (1-5, 0-2)
