Hodges, Obajimi lead Samford past Div. II Clark Atlanta 43-0
HOMEWOOD, Ala. -- Devlin Hodges tied a career-high with three touchdown passes, including a pair to Emmanuel Obajimi, to help Samford cruise to a 43-0 win over Division II Clark Atlanta on Saturday.
Hodges completed 24 of 34 passes for 307 yards, including first-half touchdown passes of 51 and 42 yards to Obajimi and a 24-yarder to Gavin Sinclair as Samford (4-4) took a 33-0 lead into the break.
Anthony Pistelli, a transfer from Valdosta State where he led Division II with 23 field goals made in 2014, made a career-high five field goals -- from 25, 28, 20, 40 and 42 yards out -- the most in a single game in the FCS this season.
The Bulldogs held Clark Atlanta to just 179 total yards.
Hodges, a redshirt freshman, is averaging 316 yards passing with nine total touchdowns (eight passing, one rushing) over his past four games.
